In a continuing series we are sharing with you poems written by a Vietnam veteran living in America today living in Tennessee, and dealing with the remembrances and experiences of fighting in Vietnam.

This poem is entitled, life is cheap.

I live where life is cheap,

where men live or die in a flash, or in a blink of an eye.

I live with compassion, and live with regret.

I cried for a friend and killed with hate.

So what is this all about?

It is an abomination called War.

remembrances of a man who certainty in the poem entitled life is cheap. Giving an an idea of what it was like back then and what it’s like to live with those experiences.
